My Manly Blog’s story

My Manly Blog is a declaration of love to Manly, the tranquil, laid-back and picturesque beach-side suburb of northern Sydney that is “only seven miles from Sydney and a million miles from care”.

Kerstin started mymanlyblog.com back in 2014 when she first moved to Manly. It was her way to keep in touch with family and friends as well as a place to share her experiences as an expat. Since the first blogpost two years ago, the blog has evolved a lot and grew into a lifestyle, surf, food and yoga blog.

keBorn and raised in Germany, Kerstin’s ocean encounters were pretty wave-free and only happened occasionally during annual family summer holidays. She never would have guessed where her journey would take her. After Arts & Media administration, she decided to take a year off and travelled Australia, New Zealand and Asia. When she returned to Berlin, she started her career in Digital Marketing. Two years later she found herself looking for a new opportunity, moved to Sydney for a 6 month contract, and has never left since.

Kerstin loves the Northern Beaches, the sound of the ocean, good coffee and sushi. She feels blessed to now call Manly home, and continues to travel and pursue her passions, step by step…
