A great spot to refuel after a surf session in Dee Why
Located at Dee Why’s beachfront strip, Girdlers is where you can always count on great coffee, a view of the ocean and fresh, healthy food.
Owned and run by Ryan Girdler and his wife Katja, Girdlers has got it right. A former juice bar has transformed into a vibrant, friendly café, offering a variety of breakfast and lunch choices, an amazing ‘all day’ selection, as well as their well-known and valued crêpes, cakes, muffins and burgers.
The food philosophy at Girdlers is simple: comfort food with a healthy twist. Simple, honest goodness. Girdler’s food is fresh, unprocessed and sugar-free (using only natural sweeteners).
You can literally taste that the food is made on-site when you have the ‘Sweet Potato Hash’ brekkie that comes with smoked salmon, organic poached eggs and a delish slow-cooked tomato relish or try ‘Seb’s burger’ that comes with a delightful home-made pesto-avo sauce. Finish it off with a crêpe – sweet and savoury options available – or a fresh and pretty spectacular smoothie and you’ll walk out feeling filled but in a nice and healthy way!
A bonus for all my friends with special dietary requirements: the menu is almost entirely gluten free with plenty of vegan options.
